This is one of those games I was somewhat on the fence about, until someone I know, in this case Joe, played it first. Yes, I had to use someone as a guinea pig. I watched him play it for a bit, then went out the next day and picked up a copy. It was a good decision, although it wasn’t completely what I expected.

It Still Works Five Years Out
There is a real problem with “scary” games. Most of them rely on cutting edge graphics to scare you(example: Dead Space). Rarely does a scary game come along that is scary, not because its gory or “gross”, but because it genuinely screws with your head. F.E.A.R. is such a game.

Wild Arms has always been a series steeped in mediocrity. It’s a decent series, but not a great one. Which is not to say I don’t like it, I do. Its just never been one of my favorites. The series high point was definitely the third game in my opinion. This review however is not about that game.

A Fresh and Fun Take on a classic genre
There are some games that get really repetitive; just the same thing over and over again, with very minimal effort to provide variety. Castle Crashers can certainly be one of those games at times. On the other hand, there are games that take a classic genre and add refreshing gameplay mechanics. Curiously, Castle Crashers is one of those games too.
