Second Verse, Not Quite the Same as the First
I was somewhat disappointed with the second chapter in Final Fantasy IV: The After Years. After Ceodore’s chapter, which was a tour de force, Rydia’s chapter is a really big letdown. It’s not that its bad, per se, it’s just that it looks bad next to the first chapter.

The American Dream is sometimes a Nightmare
Niko Bellic found that out first hand in Grand Theft Auto IV. His cousin Roman promised him fast cars, hot women, and mansions. What he got was a single bedroom apartment, strippers, and bullet wounds. Not quite the American dream he was hoping for. It would make anyone disillusioned. But really though, that was only part of the reason he came to Liberty City. Niko was also looking for someone, and to make amends for something that happened in his past.

AKA: War! HUH!! What is it good for?
This is the second game brought to us from Mistwalker and the second time they have disappointed me. The first time was with Blue Dragon. This is a studio made up of former Square employees, and I honestly expected better from them. That’s not to say Lost Odyssey is bad. I actually really enjoyed the story, and there is a lot of it. But there is a lot of reading as well. At times it almost felt like more of a homework assignment than a game. What I really didn't care for was the actual game part of the game.

This fun is spoiled however when Bowser shows up in one of the most intimidating scenes ever for him, not just kidnapping the Princess, but taking the whole castle into space. Mario attempts to go after him, but fails and is marooned on a distant planet where he meets Rosalina and her companions, the Lumies, a race of intelligent starmen. Mario then begins his quest to recharge Rosalina's space station so that she take take him to the center of the Galaxy for an epic confrontation with Bowser.
