In a recent interview with Eurogamer, Sony gave themselves another pat on the back and talked about the technology involved with the new motion controller they revealed at E3 this year. Mostly, they talked about how accurate it is. According to Sony, it's really accurate. Sony's head of developer service, Kish Hirani had this to say about the motion controller: "It's scarily good. The army has had this sort of technology for a long time, so a lot of academians have seen these things, but when you see a consumer space device with this level of accuracy — that's when developers say, 'Wow.'" SCEE's vice president of reaserch and development, Paul Holman said that their motion controller is a generation, if not a couple generations beyond the Wiimote. Paul says that it might not look that impressive, but you really can't judge it till you actually pick it up and use it and see what kinds of things it can actually do, which I suppose does make sense. Oh, and the controller will also have pretty colored lights, which he said could be used for different games. The example he gave was maybe using it to represent a muzzle flash from a gun if you're playing a shooter. That might be kinda cool. Holman went on to say he's not a game developer, but looks forward to see what they might do with the technology. We'll just have to wait and see.

saying I dont like the wiimote, far from it, but I just like how Sony's will be
different from the wii in that regard. Shiny lights sound fun too. Course, then
again, we don't need to bring up the fact that has a tendancy to exaggerate the
wonders of everything they make. Either way I am definitely going to buy a
couple when they come out, obviously.
