Hello again to you, fellow World of Warcraft fans! Its time again to listen to me talk about the game we love oh so much, and how sometimes it makes us wanna slam our heads into the nearest brick wall. I myself have had quite a few moments like that this week; things just seemed to be unusually bad, even for me. It does sound like there might be some bad things happening in Azeroth if you believe the rumors. I'll talk about that a bit later, though. First up, the obligatory weekly character update, so here it is!

I'm not really gonna mention anything with my mage or warrior, they are currently at a standstill. I didn't play them at all last week. Instead I've been working on my priest, and rogue. My priest just hit level 55 this afternoon, and what a chore it was, as I will explain later, and it's also how this week's article got it's title. My rogue had a better time; he reached level 20 with relative ease. Took him to the Ghostlands, which is pretty much a free ride to level 20, as many a Blood Elf knows. I'm sort of considering moving my shaman over to Thunderhorn; I was told the other day my guild really needs shamans. I really don't wanna pay the $25 though, so I've been considering just making a new one. Which would bring my character total to five. Damn, thats a lot.

I am firmly convinced that Blackrock Depths is an instance that was programmed by Satan himself. It's horrendously long, there are about a billion bosses, and its not really all that interesting. It's especially painful when you spend more time running back to your corpse than you actually spend fighting. I ran the dungeon today, the group I was with wasn't too bad, but for some reason we wiped like 15 times. The tank just didn't seem to either have enough armor or hit points, the monsters drained his HP really fast, and it was hard to keep up. He eventually left, and we found a better tank, but still seemed to be having problems.

By this time, I had been in this dungeon for about four hours, and only killed two out of a million bosses. Then the paladin that was with us logged out and got his level 76 Death Knight, he was just gonna run us through, which I was fine with. Everyone else left the dungeon to go repair, all those wipes did a number on our gear durability. We all got back together finally and went back into the dungeon..or tried to, while trying to enter we got the “additional instances can not be launched” error.
Well after about 10 minutes, we got back in...and the instance had reset. Fuck.

So the Death Knight starts killing everything, and about the five hour mark, Mother Nature intervened, and a rather strong thunderstorm rolled into the area. The lights were starting to flicker, so I had no choice but to bail, leaving the dungeon unfinished. Who knows how much longer it would have taken. The whole experience left me mentally drained and I needed a nap afterward. I'd rather run Wailing Caverns a thousand times than to run Blackrock Depths once. Even if everything goes right, its still way too long, and very boring.

Well thats pretty much everything this week. I'm hoping by next week my priest will be in Outland. He's only three levels away, it should be easy to do. Well anyway, thanks for reading, and good luck questing, raiding or whatever it is you do in this crazy world...of Warcraft!
