Hello again World of Warcraft fans, it’s time for another edition of WoE. It's a been a fairly interesting and slightly frustrating week in Azeroth. I will get to that more in a moment, though. First off I'll begin with my weekly progress. I don’t know if that part is really that interesting, but I still enjoy sharing it. Plus, there is also a new member of the team. So starting off we have Morteas; as of this morning he has reached level 51. I am seven levels away from Outland, and I'm pretty excited. I haven't really touched my mage or warrior over the last week, except to get them their mounts on patch day. I did attempt to run Scarlet Monastery with my mage, but was not able to, as I'll explain in a moment. Before that however, I'd like to introduce Drikzul, my new troll rogue. He's currently only level nine, but I already have a story about him. When he was level five, I got a message from this blood elf girl asking if I wanted to sign a guild charter, and join the guild when it was formed. (usualy people just kick me out as soon as it's formed) So I said, “sure why not?”, Signed it and went back to playing, then signed off. It wasn't till the next day when the guild was actually formed that I realized that I really should read guild names before joining them. The guild was called “Prettier than you!” and was super model themed. After I collected the shattered remains of my manhood from the ground, I quit the guild. I really have no one to blame but myself on this one. I'll be more careful from now on. Why was a troll invited to a guild called Prettier than you? Trolls are like the epitome of fugly; it doesn't make sense. Oh well, I'm not wasting time thinking about it. I had just logged onto my priest, and was leaving the Orgrimmar when sprawled all over the ground near the main gate were dead female trolls. They were arranged in such a way that they spelled out the URL of a gold farm/leveling website. It was a fairly unique way to advertise your stupid website without spamming the chat channels, but still was fairly obnoxious. My real frustrations this week came over the weekend, though, as I suspect it did for a lot of people. Since the new patch just dropped last week, there have been a lot more people online and a lot of them are running the new 5 man instance, Trial of the Champion. As such, it seems that it put a lot of strain on the Thunderhorn server, and a lot of people were having trouble getting into instances. I myself had this problem. Tried nearly all day Saturday to get a group together for Zul'Furrak, and finally around 4:00 PM I managed to find some people. Didn't seem like it was gonna be a really good group, but at that point I would have taken anything. The group consisted of a 59 death knight, a 38 warlock, and 39 shaman. One person was too high, and the others were almost too low. Luckily I found a second death knight that was level 60 who wanted to tag along. So I thought we might have a chance after all. As usual, I was wrong. This group could have been good for all I know, but I never got the chance to find out. I Walked into the dungeon portal and it kicked me back out, giving me the “can not launch additional instances” error. I've gotten that before, but usually I get into the instance after two or three re-tries. Not this time, however. I tried and tried for over an hour and still could not get in, so I just gave up. I tried later on that night with my mage to run Scarlet Monastery with Joe and Jess, and same thing happened. So I just gave up until today, and I guess there were less people on, because I got right into Zul'Furrak. The party was a little unorthodox, but we still made it. Two priests and three hunters; it was strange, but it worked. Well, I suppose that’s enough for this week. I think I pretty much covered everything notable that happened, though. So, thanks for reading, and until next time good luck at questing, raiding or whatever it is you do in this crazy world...of Warcraft!
